With the wardrobe out of the way I quickly moved on to the the last two points on my to-do list: fit the duck-board to the balcony floor and paint the enclosure over my kitchen cupboards. Putting on the first layer of paint was a swift affair; too no more than an hour including preparations. The duck-board was a whole different story though. Lacking a proper workbench I had to make due with a home-made version (could possibly be the makeshiftiest of all makeshift workbenches ever). Because of how IKEA designed the plastic frame underneath the boards cutting them to fit the corners and along the walls became horribly tedious and time-consuming. It took me 45 minutes to get just 2/3 of the first corner done. After finishing it I was so tired I had to get a snack. All in all I got about half done, I'll finish the rest later this week.
