On the way to the apartment I dropped by the paint store and perused their ENORMOUS selection of wallpapers. I spent two hours without being able to completely make up my mind. They advised me to borrow a bunch to bring home and consider in the light of my apartment, as their lighting is pretty sterile. I also bought another bucket of putty and got to work on the living room and master bedroom. I developed an remarkable technique for applying putty in a very consistent thickness. You could almost call me a putty superhero. If so, then weakness would definitely an uncanny ability to bump my elbows into freshly applied putty. Most annoying. If you want to know the secret to perfect puttying, just let me know. I also sanded the skirting boards. Now they are truly ready for painting. It will feel sooooo good once I am done with them, it has taken forever and they don't contribute any visible progress at all.
