I woke up today, not with a massive headache as one might have suspected with regard to yesterday's drinking, but an enormous craving for beef noodles. The water pump had broken down, AGAIN, and we were left without water to even wash our faces or flush the toilet, so me and Wu Yang (吴洋) decided to get a shower at "our" bathhouse instead. The girls were going to Liaoyang shopping, so while me and Wu Yang got ourselves cleaned up, they had the car washed after which we had noodles together. I wolfed down this HUGE bowl of noodles with extra chili, sweated like a pig and very nearly passed out into a food coma right there on the spot. It was niiiiceeee. It turned out that Zhang Yanan (张亚楠) was going to the hospital to get a rash on her hand checked out, so I tagged along to see what the deal is with my wrist. It has been a whole year since I crashed with my bike and it has still not fully recovered, so I decided to get me some Chinese X-ray pictures of the little bastard to make sure there are no tiny fractures or anything. While we waited for the pictures to develop, the girls went shopping and left me and Wu Yang in the park outside playing with icicles. Good news, nothing in my hand is broken, I just need to give it time (sigh). The X-ray pictures were totaly worth 125元 anyway though. The rest of the day we spent at TESCO waiting for the girls to finish shopping. It was not until a little after eight in the evening that we got back to Shoushan, and by then most restaurants had already closed for the day. Fortunately we cought Heping just in time for a quick evening snack. Then we all went back to the dorm to wash clothes. I finally know what a "hard knock life" is like.
