Sofia (my middle younger sister, 老四) is a scout (童子军) and scouts go on hikes and to camps. For every trip and adventure you make you get a badge; you also get badges for various achievements as well. There is a whole bunch of rules, I have been told, for which badges go where on your uniform. Also, you are supposed to only have the current year's badges on the uniform, the rest go on your blanket. Tonight Sofia took a few hours out of her busy schedule to catch up on adding new badges and transferring old ones to the blanket. She has been with the scouts for a while now and her blanket is starting to look rather impressive. :-)
