TITLE: MY FIRST AUCTION (拍卖)

The plan is to move into my new apartment sometime at the end of August and since I don't have any furniture to speak of I thought it might be a good idea to check out the local auction house. They have auctions every Sunday and there are quite a few items up for auction each time (600-800 items). I checked out a couple of emigrant's trunks and wooden chests during the viewing this Thursday that I wanted to try and get a hold of. I had to fight much more for them than I had hoped, but I got them. I had enlisted Alexander Ådin and his trusty Ford Sierra to haul the loot back home, but unfortunately I did the old "buy first, measure later" and the grand prize - a Chinese camphor wood chest - didn't even get close to fitting inside. Luckily I managed to arrange for my neighbour Marcus Collin to come and reinforce us with a station-wagon. I'm not quite sure what to put in them yet, but that is a matter for later. You can never have too much storage space, right?
