Me, Wu Yang (吴洋) and Mr. Xu (徐总), the new head of administration at Honchang, have been talking about getting together and having dinner for quite some time now. We have been trying to find a date that suits everone since Christmas and it was not until today that we managed to make it happen. We first met up at Mr. Xu's house for tea and snacks, where we also got to meet his very shy daugher, Xu Zheng (徐峥). Afterwards we headed over to the Water Cube Sauna for a bath (picture #1), followed by some Korean barbecue at the Golden Mountain (picture #2, located in the same building). Like the vast majority of Chinese students, Xu Zheng have extra classes on both Saturdays and Sundays (mostly extra English). Well finished in the afternoon she and her mother came over and joined us. Yes, that is more coriander than dipping sauce in Xu Zheng's bowl. [o_o] We all did our very best to get her talking and smiling, but it was tough. I consider the picture of the two of us as a success though, that is a small smile, right? We had beer with a decent amount of alcohol tonight, 4.4%, a local brew. I dare say it was better than the standard Tsingtao. Jiang Bin's (姜斌) parents live in Liaoyang, so we hitched a ride on our way there and then when she was heading back to Shoushan later in the evening we took the opportunity to go with her once more. We had a really nice day today. It is always good to get out and see something new and get to know new people. Also we had like only meat for dinner, which helps, haha!
