Okay, Monday morning again. At least the air was clear thanks to all the raining yesterday. This is what the white Mazda that takes me to and from work everyday looks like from the inside. Chinese people are extremely anal about keeping their cars clean. I have yet to encounter a car, private or otherwise, that was not completely dressed up in seat covers. Perhaps it has to do with cars being status symbols, because I have found that most Chinese people are not at all that attentive when it comes to cleanliness in other areas... Picture 3-5 were taken from the passenger seat on my way to work (they were all taken west of the railway, if you look at the map from 2011-10-02). The last picture is of Wanxingda's owner and Chairman of the Board, Hu Kui (胡魁), sneakily taken from the window in our office on the second floor. I must say that I wholeheartedly endorse the tradition at my office of keeping chili peppers instead of flowers in the windows. Makes me want to grow some myself. Sorry, but no food-porn today; I forgot my camera when going to dinner (doh!). The first time since coming here that I have forgotten to bring my camera. Hopefully the last time.
