Nope, no sleep tonight either. Inflamed intestine. Say it with me: I-N-F-L-A-M-E-D I-N-T-E-S-T-I-N-E (肠炎). It has a nice ring to it, doesn't it? I have spent the whole day in my room, going back and forth between my bed and the toilet, all while listening to the sound of stone being cut with power tools. In the afternoon Wu Yang brought some Chinese medicine with him, which he assured me was "the good stuff". I remain sceptical but would not mind a pleasant surprise. The red bean paste filled bun in the picture is my first attempt at eating something which I have hope of keeping for any longer period of time. The Internet was down for several hours this afternoon and the reception on the cable was poor as well, so Bai Zhoutong had to watch movies on his computer instead. He chose "The Mummy Returns", which was not helpful to my condition at all. These days I have come to rely on not only Wu Yang, but on my newfound friend Li Bang. When I saw it at the supermarket I just could not resist, I am such a sucker for Photography Toilet Paper!
