TITLE: LABOUR DAY!

The Chinese have a rather...interesting...division of labour. Today the MARKETING DEPARTMENT scrubbed the floors on the second floor and made sure that the grass got watered. After a little while when backs got sore and knees went numb, Kang Wei (康伟), came up with a way of scrubbing while standing: sticking steel wool under your shoes and then gliding around on the floor. Fun for the whole deparment! The floor must have been pretty dirty because it took them (7 persons) the better part of the morning to get it clean. When they were done it was just about time for lunch. I still have not been into the factory yet, new rules stipulate that both helmets AND saftey shoes are necessary to enter, and we are still waiting for the shoes to get here. I really hope that they come next week, I am looking forward to some steel rolling action! In the last pitcture Wu Yang is waving from our office. The first three windows on the second floor all belong to the marketing department. It is an open landscape kind-of-office with two desks in each group. I will get a picture of it soon enough; I thought I had it covered but the camera in my chellphone turned out to be too craptastic for photography.
