The power cord to my laptop has been feeling...a little under the weather lately, and fearing for its ability to serve me the last two weeks here in China, I have started looking for alternatives. Hearing that there is an Apple-certified retailer in Anshan I went there today after work to see how much a new cord would be in China. Anshan really is a couple of sizes bigger than Liaoyang and really feels like a *big* city. The first thing on the agenda after arriving at Silong was of course to have dinner. I almost immediately ran into this place called "Delicacy World" (钟记美食街), and not being very familiar with Anshan I thought this place would probably be just as good as any other. And it was. After a quick meal of Japanese-style fried rice I proceded to my destination: the Parkson Mall and Dragonstar - Premium Apple Retailer (英龙华辰). A quick inquiry revealed that a power cord is 799元 and I just as quickly decided that my current one simply has to survive until I graduate and get a job. The place with the fantastic milk-pudding had closed for the day, so I got some egg-tarts and a cup of tea before going home again instead.
