The Spring Festival is all about spending time with your family, so like yesterday today was also spent at Xu Jia's (许嘉) grandparents house together with Xu Jia's uncle and cousin (Xu Yang, 许諹). A standing theme of ours these last few days have been the Portuguese dessert 蛋挞 (dan ta). KFC actually makes some of the best tarts around, so after waking up me and Xu Jia decided to walk over to her grandparents' place and one the way picked up a couple of boxes. The yellow peach flavor had been replaced by a new, special edition taro (香芋) flavour. It was a slight disappointment, but they went down too. After downing two full boxes before dinner and thus completely ruining our appetite (much to the disdain of all parents present), Xu Jia, Xu Yang and I proclaimed ourselves the "Egg-Tart Group" (蛋挞三人组) and took a nap. Aaahhh, limitless holiday gluttony, thou art wonderful!
