TITLE: BARBECUE HAIRCUT

Today it was once again time to show what little hair I have who is in charge. I am experimenting with letting my hair grow a little longer, but since I don't have that much hair to begin with, my "haircut" needs a trimming almost weekly to look decent. Fortunately you can get premium haircuts for as little as 10元 in China, so it is not that big of a burden on your wallet. Wallowing as I am in complete decadence, I only get my haircuts at fancy places where they charge 15元, this time at 飘 (Piao). I have no idea what the name "Was" is supposed to mean or refer to though. After a successful haircut me and Wu Yang (吴洋) went to the best Korean barbecue in Shoushan (although that doesn't say much). We are trying to eat less, as we end up stuffing ourselves until almost passing out every time we have dinner; we are mature enough to realize that this is not going to be sustainable in the long run. In picture #6 you see an example of how the "sauerkraut" of northeastern China can be found almost everywhere, even at a Korean joint. The guy who changed the cooking plates was extremely fascinated by their foreign guest (more so than the average Chinese) and changed plates every 10 minutes just to get the chance to exchange a few words. Nice chap. We ordered less this time but still failed miserably. Oh, well. Better luck next time.
