TITLE: SHOPPING FOR BOOTS

My summer shoes are not Liaoning Province-compatible. To remedy this problem, Wu Yang took me to Liaoyang City's shopping street, Jingbu (京都). There were shoes. Lots and lots of shoes. Especially UGGs. Chinese people looooove UGGs. There were no style, kind or colour that you couldn't find. While I was trying out proper footwear, Wu was practicing his candid photography skills. After going through a few floors of shoes, I finally found a pair of boots that I think will be able to withstand some serious cold. Not the best looking shoes I have ever owned, but I'm not loosing my feet to fashion this winter! After a full day of walking, we went to Wu's favourite South Korean-style barbecue restaurant. If you ask me, this kind of barbecue is way better than hotpot. Not only can you cook the meat as rare or crispy as you want, it is more interactive than hotpot. Half the stuff you put in a hotpot you forget and get overcooked. We ate until we almost burst and then we went back home. Now I only have to find a decent down jacket and I'll be all set!
