Shaanxi Province (and Xi'an) are notorious for its extremely dry climate; winter being the driest of the four seasons. So when it suddenly started raining today it was kind of big surprise. When I came here in late August it was raining frequently, but come October it abruptly ended and has been scarce ever since. These last couple of weeks there has been a lot of watering of common grounds and gardens. Its good to see the weather helping out with the drought.
