Today I went back to the hotpot restaurant where I took my sisters when they came to visit me. This time I went together with Nicolas, Silvio (a French dude at school), Sam, Alice and Khalila, 吴艳丽 and her classmate. To try something new, me and Nicloas decided to give the spicy sesame sauce and the spicy half of the hot pot a go. At the beginning it was just a nice kind of spicy and tasted great. But after a while that changed dramatically. When all the good stuff like potatoes and lotus root were finally cooked they had been in the pot for like 20 minutes‚ sucking up all the chili. Needless to say it was freaking hot. After more or less painfully finishing the pot, me and Nicolas immediately headed out to get some ice cream to salvage what was left of our taste buds.
