Lovisa was feeling feverish after a long day of shopping at Xidan Avenue (西单路), so she stayed at the hotel the rest of the evening. I dont blame her though, that street has 6-8 shopping malls above ground and at least two more below... The rest of us went out for another round of money spending and some dinner. We conveniently combined the two at Wangfujing Avenue, the luxury shopping street in central Beijing. Around the middle you can find a long, long row of small stands selling local specialties from all over China, thats where we went. They have all kinds of roasted meat and vegetables, fruits and desserts, tofu and sweets. We had rice in pineapple, fresh coconut juice and a variety of other stuff on sticks. A great place to try "safe" Chinese street food, even though the taste might not be as good as the original.
